For millions of people celebrating holi evokes a different sense . Some take it as a way to celebrate an age old tradition , some spending a holiday after a week full of stress work , some to bring out their pervert tendencies , some play to remind moments of their childhood days ,…goes on . Getting back to basics , the entire holiday is expected to loosen social restrictions normally associated with caste, sex , status , and age. & thus bridging social gaps and bringing people together: employees and employers, men and women, rich and poor, young and old . But for most Hindus it provides a temporary opportunity to disregard social norms , indulge in merrymaking and generally "let loose." . After the festival is over, its all back to normal as we can say . The differences in beliefs between concept of gods and godess for the victory of goodness over evil, the difference between two caste of humanity men and women , .. and so on. Is it due to increasing stress that we celebrate or is it that in the age of commercialization we get easily fooled into marketing traps . like as we sacrifice one public function and send the money for earthquake victims . Can’t we spend a portion of total expenditure on all festivals like as ‘*Zakat’ for the one in need . By being true patriots and feeling a sense of true human being is worthier than being proud of man made culture & traditions and burn out money which has been made by churning out mother earth .

“ There is a sufficiency in the world for man's need but not for man's greed.” ~Mohandas K. Gandhi

Its time to take initiative and retain agricultural land , save farmers from suicides as next decade crisis would be food and bring back the age in which holi used to be played by farmers during the arrival of springs .

Some facts and figures :-
1) According to doctors , synthetic colors can play havoc with our skin ,eyes and hair, and may even cause respiratory problems like asthma
2) A local tabloid had a view published that 30,000 bonfires each burning approximately 100 kg of wood are lit in one season
3) Since 1997, more than 25,000 farmers have committed suicide, many drinking the chemical that was supposed to make their crops more, not less, productive
4) Presently , 120 million of the 142 million cultivable hectares is degraded in india .
5) More than 1500 crores is spent on crackers for diwali in a season .

A common saying heard during Holi is bura na mano, Holi hai "don't feel offended, it's Holi"….we can add to it sab chalta he kalyug he “ everythings happens in the age of destruction” & say with a smile after knowing everything and yet pretend to know nothing … happy holi . :)

(* Zakat :- a certain fixed proportion of the wealth & of each and every kind of property liable for a muslim to be paid yearly for the benefit of poor in muslim community )

Storytelling Time : Two Son

The following grandma's story is a modification of one told by my office mate which he had heard in childhood days. Would like to share..Hope u all find enough patience to read and enjoy

1ST Part
: - Once upon a time there lived a father who had 1 kid each from 2 wives. One was Abdul while the other was Mustafa. But father loved Mustafa more than Abdul because he was the son her first wife and beloved. But Mustafa was lazy and Cunning while Abdul was Hard Working and Sincere…

Now as time went and both grew up…Mustafa grew up keeping legs on others head while Abdul grew up fighting with life and learning through every moment ….
Father decided to give them their share… It was when both wives fought for their son equally… So father decided to give them a trial share of some materials to see how they take care and look after …And he gave one Date Tree, One Blanket and One Cow … And told both of them to take care of all three things carefully…

Both had to work jointly and also prove father then Mustafa though wickedly and convinced Abdul into a mutual agreement. Top portion of Date tree would be taken by Mustafa while Bottom would be taken by Abdul. The Blanket would be taken in the day time by Abdul while Mustafa would keep at night time and Cow front portion would be handled by Abdul while Back portion be handled by Mustafa.. and Abdul agreed unknowingly…

But frustration developed for Abdul as he would take care of Date tree water and put fertilizer while Mustafa would always took the date, Abdul feeder the cow and Milk was drank and rest sold by Mustafa & Blanket was of no use in the morning time while at coldly nights he had to suffer .Even Neighbors, friends and relatives wished to help Abdul but couldn’t as they were helpless.

Moral of 1st Part: - Never Trust even your blood when it comes to money.

2nd Part
:-Then Frustrated and losing all hopes Abdul asked God why it happened only to him even after doing so much and there came a reply from heaven “Keep Patience and keep doing your good work this is your test from God on your way to heaven and if you continue sooner or later you will be rewarded” So he questioned why he is not able to get the fruits for which he was responsible. And there came a reply back again “They may enjoy the material fruits now – But they are on their way to hell” Satisfied Abdul went and continued doing his good work and kept faith that all for was good..

Moral of 2nd Part: - It takes time to understand to understand his decision but all goes well in the end.

3rd Part: - As Still time went there was no change in anything .Abdul left hope and he started thinking if he doesn’t do anything even God won’t be able to help him. So he started cutting down the base of tree saying that was under him and Mustafa fell down, Stopped giving food to Cow and Mustafa got kicks instead of Milk while put the blanket in cold water during day time and Mustafa found that useless during night time… So Mustafa agreed readily and decided to share the date fruits, milk and blanket at night after doing morning work together…

Moral of 3rd Part: - Narrow Minded Determination leads to temporary success.

4th part
: - Hurt by this defeat Mustafa planned to teach him a lesson and at this very moment father died suddenly he took it as an opportunity and decided to seek revenge .He kicked Abdul and his mother out of country without giving a penny and kept a caretaker for looking after everything…

Moral of 4th Part: - Life is sometimes Cruel – So be Carefull.Leecher do exist and live sucking the blood of others and heaven or hell is nothing for them as far they enjoy.

5th and final part: - As Abdul and his mother were wandering along town they came across a Money lender who pitied them and kept at their home for job to look after her daughter and business .But as destiny finds way the money lender met with an accident and while dying he told to take care of his daughter and business .and he married and looked after business …

Moral of 5th Part: - God has its own way of judgment. Men can manipulate the judgment and take its own returns back for manipulating.

Fight and Struggle that’s life – It has its own merits and demerits :)

Yahoo a Verdict .

It’s been long I joined yahoo. As far as I can remember it’s been a virtual journey of past 10 yrs.You might think its an achievement that I'm boasting off. It's not then ,I would like to share something cause it's a bane happening with most of people. Since school days I hated computers, it was my opinion people kill time on it and get away from real social life. Later on with the help of some friends I got closed to it and closest. Though time and money for cyber always kept a distance between us. But after I started doing job it became a part of life and after coming to outside India a parallel life .But like most others my aim if being there changed rapidly due to moody nature. Previously I used to pass time playing mind games with girls then met some who did the same the vice versa , then got bored of both so I started listening and if possible participating in good debates. If there’s going on in any rooms and latest fad which continued till now was singing in rooms and later on confy’s as they call.

There is ecstasy and thrill in making many new ids, trying various software’s and roaming around in a world of unknown. But apart from that like other most social networking sites especially face book which has its own way of attracting members. Yahoo is quite dramatic, funny, dangerous, interesting etc which depends on the persona and outlook one takes over there. But if were to look from an inquisitive outlook there lot interesting over here. There’s very few who are really cared to make a real relation out of the virtual one and those who are were either out of the country in search of making some new friends, at a pre/post teens that are full of enthusiasm or at a later stage of line wanting to spend time with some due to loneliness.

As rightly quoted by Wayne Dyer "Only the last suit that you wear, you don't need any pockets" .It points out the importance of need in life which finds a true fact for the practical while u become rude before the emotional fools.:P

Got carried away. So I was saying here you find many personas which have it own distinguished behavior pattern. But the similar psychological factor which binds all is also the same. Mainly it can be found out by their Identifying name for example a person with a sweet or good friend was never found to be sweet by heart but by words spoken and manipulative in maintaining relations and drawing everybody towards self by hook or by hidden crook, an id found with the name don etc (negative impulse) was most of the time found to be good at heart but had the ambition to dominate everybody which he may not be in real life and hence was stretching his/her muscles in virtual world - though there were exceptions of innocence and terrorizing characters, some used a word like symbolizing emotions but they were dam found to be practical and knew why they came on yahoo and for how much time, some used id’s depicting like they are the most helpful, humanitarian but fact was they were the most deadly practical and selfish etc it goes on .. The astonishing fact was nobody is perfect in life and the only ones who couldn’t balance were unable to get credit unknowingly in real life for what they are not and due to it such people come over here masking new personalities for fooling the self sub conscious to feel happy temporarily for some who can’t they make this virtual world their own place and it becomes crazy if anybody tries to or becomes a threat for their self identity and they react accordingly.

So let’s leave or join Yahoo or any such social networking site not only for enjoying but also maintaining your true self and finding new realistic and committed long lasting friends. :)
